Hi everyone. I am having a problem. My site seems to be redirecting to http://searchportal.information.com/ . This occurs if a file does not exist, has been changed, etc. Is there a fix to this? To best see the problem, visit one of my sites: http://www.aaastateofplay.com/ . If you go to http://www.aaastateofplay.com/p for instance it gives a 404 error not found and redirects to the searchportal website which is not affiliated with myself. All sites affected, most are not oscommerce, but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks

If you have installed OSC on a free host, the hosting company redirects to a page of their choice for 404 errors. I do it for my free hosting services, just to get some ad revenue from the errors.
Nothing you can do about it, option would be to switch to paid hosting.
If you are on a paid host, then check control panel for error handling pages. You do have control for 403 / 404 in paid hosting options.
cheers

Woo whee. Thanks man. I was trying to find answers online and came across an article at http://lzzr.com/sedd/closing-searchportali...ioncom-subject/ . It was talking about dns poisoning and how the searchportal website is the result of hijacked sites and redirects. My host had not responded to the problem and it was relatively new. Needless to say the problem is fixed and I can go to sleep now, sleep. Thanks

Actually im having this same problem.
If I clear my cookies and goto my website and click on an item on the front page it will give me the 404 error with a search bar toward the bottom that redirects people to searchportal.information.com , if I click on one of the products in the menu then go back to the main page and click on a product in the main page I don't get the 404 error page. Im thinking it's my SEO that is causing the problem with the main page but I would really like to get rid of this redirect.

Nevermind it actually was my hosts error page.
