Hi again,

Now I have another small problem.

oscThumb is working great, but when I install the greatlooking contrib Fancy Lightbox Popup

http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5532

the watermarking is not working on the popup-image anymore. I guess that has something to do with the
call to the tep_image function. Does anyone have a clue how to include the oscThumb function instead?
I really want to use the watermarks again.

clasf

Same... I'm trying to get them to work together but I honestly haven't a clue where to start with javascript...

Anyone know how to make the watermark appear within the lightbox?

I have been using this mod for some time and absolutely love it! But I have one question, and maybe I am just missing something here in the setup.

I have landscape photos and portrait photos, if I put a portrait picture in the store, without rotating to landscape first, it comes out squashed, is there a way to display portrait photos as portrait size and landscape as landscape size?

I would appreciate any assistance with this. Over all, it is an awesome mod!

I have portrait and landscape images... they don't get squashed, the image is resized but keeps the aspect ratio. I can't think why you should find anything else happening, but maybe it's to do with the image size setting? Mine is a square size... perhaps you should try setting yours to a square? Or try turning off features like buttonize etc just in case they're having an effect.

Actually, if you have "allow thumbnails larger than original" turned on set it to false. It seems logical that this may be squashing your images if it's enlarging the width but not the height.

I can't claim I know much about it, but I figured a reply from someone is better than no reply, right?

Thanks! I just over looked that aspect after installing oscThumb, yes, now image size is set to square, and the portrait and landscape thumbs look much better! Much appreciated assistance!

I was testing locally and oscThumb was working great! the URL for a thumb is
http://localhost/osc/catalog/oscthumb.php?...e389f998a683c6a
this URL will still show me a thumbnail of the image

I just deployed it to the web and the URL for a thumb is
http://sub.domain.com/oscthumb.php?src=lMz...e389f998a683c6a
And it will not show a thumbnail but this:

**Headers already sent in file "" on line "0", dumping error message as text:**

phpThumb() v1.7.7-200612252156

Headers already sent (phpThumb.php line 431)

what did I do wrong with the migration? Does oscThumb have dependencies in the paths in includes/configure.php?

I have been using the oscThumbs contrib now for a few months without issue.
Now that I have switched to another hosting server (new provider), the contrib no longer does its stuff. All images are displayed as before adding oscThumb.
I havn't switched on watermarking, so I don't know if it is affected, but the images are no longer compressed before being sent, nor are the filenames modified.

The transfer from the old site to the new one was a straight file copy, only I copied the cache files too. So I though maybe clear the cache out, and see if it helps. Nothing has been re-created in the cache since doing this though. The cache permissions are 777. All the .htaccess files seem to be there too.
Other than this, there seems to be no other errors loading any of the site's pages.

If anyone can offer some advice, I would be most grateful.

The site is www.maxabears.com

Thanks,
Hardy.

OK - Its fixed.
Seems that it must have been a file copy issue during the transfer. I did it again with all BIN mode copies and it seems fine now.

Thanks for the great contrib.

Hello everyone I have installed oscthumb and I am very well with this great contribution, but I will validate the site according to the standard w3c and not This contribution will allow me because it adds the character & images, I have tried to replace it with & but doing so you do n't see the images...
Someone has any idea?? Maybe an integration with Ultimate SEO URLs?
Thanks to all

OK, I have resolved by putting nooffsitelink_enabled on false. Now I have noticed that the images in PNG not maintain the transparency on versions lower than IE7, while I have seen this contribution that can do: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/2226! Could you not integrate?

Hi.

I need to uninstall the admin side of this contrib - I ran the sql code and had image magic installed too and they show up toggether in admin, messed up. So, i need to uninstall both from admin and install oscThumb again (image magic didn't work, hopefully this contribution will).

So, how do I uninstall it? I guess I do it from phpMyAdmin, but how?

Thank you.

Hi again - I managed to uninstal the admin side and installed oscThumb correctly.
Now ... it's not working properly. It doesn't work for any of the images, except one - not a product image, but one fetched to the index page from the coppermine gallery and that with an error: "Error: Invalid hash", showing this path: "http://www.muccelmic.com/oscthumb.php?src=lMTUw-".
All the other images appear very large - the actual size and the path is the original one: http://www.muccelmic.com/images/WAMPOL/Triton_Blue_1.jpg.

The same thing was happening with Image Magic - it didn't work except for that one image.

What could be wrong? I really like this contrib and I need it...

Also got a little Problem....
I have hardcoded images in my descriptions. To thumbnail them too i tried to call them like this
src="http://www.domain.com/oscthumb.php?src=
I put this code into description with str_replace by replacing the original <img src=" with above code.
Unfortunetaly it doenst work because of the hash!

anyone has any solution on how to thumb this images without having an hash?
or any other way?

Hi,

does the contrib work with three or more images also? Is the generated image thumb in good quality or just simply scaled down in "browser style"? Can you suggest a good "three-images" - contribution?
thanx for the info.

After installing osxcthumb, pictures were still distorted a bit. Still checking if the edits were applied correctly, I restored ny DB and removed the three files. But still in admin -> configuration -> thumbnails is still there. Did look in myPhpAdmin. There isn't at table for thumbnails.

So am asking if anyone knows why it still resides there?

Thank you.

well I installed this contrib. and I see everything is where it should be in the admin panel - turned the master switch on... but I don't know if it's even working. I wanted to install something that would help the image distortion in the thumbs... but as far as I can tell everything looks the same.

just to be clear - I don't want to use the watermark feature - any of the features really... I was simply on a mission to get rid of the distortion... I do like the cache features... maybe I have downloaded the wrong contrib.

also to boot I am a newbie lol... well to php anyways.

Hm, works fine so far  - except the watermarks <_< . I can't select the image file or the watermark font on the config page. Any ideas what could have happened? The watermarks- an cache directory is set to 777. Other ideas to fix the problem? I don't have...
