hello all,
I'm in the process of building an online retail store. Selling accessories, stuffed animals, school supplies, etc... I got my permit to buy from the wholesaler. The wholesaler has an online store also. My question is that if when my online store open and sell their stuff, will I be running into legal action if they know I'm selling their products exactly like them? Thank you

Do you sell their products by taking their items images and product desription from their online store and putting on your online store.
And do you sell to your customers from their online store or do u ship products from your warehouse.
Please be a little clear.
If you are buying products from their online store and selling to your customers, In my opinion you're using a dropship wholesaler site.
Can you provide their link.

They are a wholesaler/distributor, you are a retailer/store owner.
Did the wholesaler say you needed a store front to be eligable to purchase from them? If no, or if you do...
Then you can sell the products however you want once you purchased them from the wholesaler (they're now your merchandise).
I would suggest altering the item descriptions a little, not copying word for word as that is a form of plagiarism. Same for the images, copy them to your hard drive, edit the background, size, etc... so they are not exactly the same and then upload to your server.
Good luck in competing with your wholesaler.

If you want to use something of theirs then just ask them for permission.

Nice and simply put David.
Most wholesalers are willing to oblige to their cleints (resellers) as it helps sell their products.
Mine had no problem in letting me use the info and pics from their web site. Just no hot linking.
