I'm looking to send a 10kg parcel to the Netherlands from the UK.

What is my cheapest option? Speed doesn't worry me.

Thanks.

I think the cheapest method will be ParcelForce.
I found that parcel2go.com offer Europe Delivery from £17+VAT

As soon as there's a possibility carriers have to travel a long distance (Scotland) or cross over water (Europe, IOW, IOM, Ireland) their price goes through the the roof. Royal Mail/Parcel Force are usually the best for price.

Thanks for the response.

Item is actually 5.2kg and is coming in about £30 at parcelforce and just under that with Parcel2go via DHL.

Hi,

Try experimenting with these. They may not be suitable for outside the uk, but they're some companies I had book marked.

Thanks very much!

These two seem to do what I want.

They are reliable and safe?

Can someone tell me if there is an osCommerce interface for any of these services e.g. DHL?

For DHL I have developed the contribution based on zones rates.

Another good new site is parcel delivery - they are new and the website is still being finished but their rates are great and they can always deal via the phone or email, I use them and they are sometimes half the price of other UK or European parcel delivery companies and usually next day too!

parceline in the uk is part of the DPD network which has good rates for fast delivery of fairly heavy packages (20-30kgs)
the dutch postal services have been acquired by the TNT network, you might want to investigate that as an option if you are only concerned with the netherlands.
we use the TNT network out of the netherlands for smaller international shipments where the single DPD flat rate to 31.5kg is too high.
