I hope there's already a fix to my issue.

I installed the contrib following the directions exactly. When I mouseover a link, the url's are generated. But when I click on a link, I'm directed back to the index page. Has anyone solved this issue? Thanks.

hi guys,

im sure im been a bit thick today. ive installed the contribute. however i am having a problem understanding if it is suppose to do the following:

My site is index by google and when I search on the following http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=na...a+boxing+gloves. I am the second one down. This is my old url and when I used to click on it it went to the relevant product. However when I click on it now it just goes to the home page. Is this suppose to happen or is it possible to tell SEO-G to go to the new page? If it is possible how do I do it?

Thanks,

John

Is it possibly to use 2 subfolders with SEO-G

Example .htaccess

#-MS- SEO-G Added
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /folder1/folder2/
RewriteRule ^(.*).html$ root.php?$1.html&%{QUERY_STRING}
#-MS- SEO-G Added EOM

I've just installed this contribution but got the following error:

I have placed all files in the right folder. Can anybody help this noob out?

Hi

I get nicely generated URLs for all my pages :), except the pages that I reach by clicking the product_reviews box.
When clicked from the product page, the product_review pages (like all others) do get their proper URL.
I have this problem only when reaching a product_review page by clicking the product_reviews box (displayed on the right).

Is this a bug or development issue? Or have I overlooked an installation direction?

kind regards, Mikee

This is weird. I have exactly the same problem when I use the other SEO contribution: Ultimate SEO's.
This means that the problem is probably not in either of those two packages, but probably somewhere else in my OsCommerce code.

So, only when reaching a product_review page by clicking the product_reviews box, I get an URL like this:

.../product-name-pri-19.html?reviews_id=1

when clicking from any other location it looks like this:

.../product-name-pr-19.html

I am a bit confused that this problem appears in two seperate installations of both Ultimate SEO and SEO-G...
Would anybody have an idea where I went wrong?
I use OsCommerce MS2.2 (060817)

Thanks, mikee

Oops, these URLs were generated with Ultimate SEO (Sorry for the confusion).

The relevant URL for the product review page, when clicked from the product_reviews box, looks like this in SEO-G:

.../product_reviews_info.php?products_id=19&reviews_id=1

Again, this problem arises both in SEO-G and Ultimate SEO ONLY when clicking from within the product_reviews box...

I hope anyone recognizes how to fix this....

thanks, mikee

Hi,

I have 2 problems and 1 question:

* in my seo g configuration everything is double:

SEO-G Master Switch false Info
SEO-G Master Switch false Info etc etc

* when I 'm in de G - controller and press validate categorie links, I get the following error:

1146 - Table '******.TABLE_LINK_CATEGORIES_DESCRIPTION' doesn't exist

select m.link_categories_id, m.link_categories_name as name, if(s2l.link_categories_id, s2l.link_categories_id, 0) as missing_id from TABLE_LINK_CATEGORIES_DESCRIPTION m left join seo_to_links s2l on ((s2l.link_categories_id = if(s2l.link_categories_id,m.link_categories_id,0))) where m.language_id = '1' order by m.link_categories_id desc

* Does the Seo G also support multiple languages, so that the categories also change per languages?

please advise.

Mark

I have the same problem with you with the double everything in configuration

Also, when logging into admin, only the computer i used to do the mod will login, any other computers including at friends homes and other computers in my house on the same network dont login to admin

When you goto www.abcd.com/admin and put the user and pass in you come to the blue oscommerce admin screen. When you click any link here it redirects to the page listed in the SEO-G configuration 301 redirect section

Anyone have either of these problems before, let me know

Answer to the double everything Mark

"yes, you probably re-entered the dbase configuration switches. Use phpmyadmin or the total configuration (v1.01) contribution, to get rid of the duplicated fields. I find the later easier to use for this purpose, as it lists all duplicated fields and you can get rid of them with a couple of clicks.

I have this installed and working nicely EXCEPT for the links to manufacturers from the menus on the left. Here's what happens. If I use the menu to navigate to a mfg, I get a regular URL. If I click on a mfg name in that page, though, it will give the same page with the friendly URL. Here's a screen shot --

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, I've installed SEO-G but now i cannot access the Admin area. I've also added:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule admin - [L] but to no avail. The page instead is being re-directed to cookie_usage. any help?

Ok it works to a certain extend.
www.mobiliparts.com/apple-ipod/support-smartphone-telephone-mobile-pour-voiture.htm
where the link is generated with the french name. But if I change the language to english the link generate remains in french. Because SEO-G only holds one name for each products_id you see?

And in order to accommodate it, I would need to change the framework such that SEO_TO_PRODUCTS and other tables have an extra column to specify the language.

Is there already an solution for the multi languages issue? I can not use SEO G yet because all the categories have the same name.

Please advise

No help yet???

In the meantime I found a work-around for the Admin problem.

1) In my browser I will specify the domain name for the Admin part of my site.
2) Instead of clicking on "Catalogs" or any other folder I will now click on "Deutsch"
3) For a second time I will be prompted for my password, which I will then type in.
4) Then I will click on say: "My Store"
5) Now I click on: "Administration" (top right hand corner)
6) From the drop-down box I will select "English" and from there click on: "My Store"
7) Now I'm in Admin and ready to do my normal stuff.

Until a solution is found, for this problem, this will do for me.

I hope a solution is found soon for this problem.

Hello,

Anyone aware of compatibility issues when installing on Osc RC1?

I started with a clean install of osc and installed STS. Now after installing, it is a hit and miss if the cPath gets converted.

Anyone have this problem and know a solution?

Thanks.

there is no direct multilingual support at this point. The documentation includes a link to an earlier post in this thread how to make the autobuilder generate links for a different language. And you would have to do several other mods to support it.

Is possible at least to fix this issue?
My site have 2 diferents languages, when google index some of my pages, some are stored as

www.domain.com/product.html
and
others (in another lang) www.domain.com/index.php?cPath=32&language=es

i really donjt like to get indexed by google that kind of urls :(
