Parse Error???

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi, i've just done a new install of oscommerce, and i keep getting this error at the top of each page,

Parse error: parse error in /home/domains/mydomain.co.uk/user/htdocs/includes/functions/general.php on line 1102

and when i log into the admin pages, i get this error page at the top of every page,

Parse error: parse error in /home/domains/mydomain.co.uk/user/htdocs/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 1233

I'm no expert on oscommerce, so this could have an easy fix but i have no idea, thanks in advance for any help.

Hi!

Can you write these lines here?

Ps: I've had some parse error because of < ' > simbol (is an special caracter in php language, and if you use it in your language, for example in words like "can't" you must write "can't". The < > symbol scapes the special function of < ' > symbol.

Ps: My English is not very good, I'm sorry! :-)

?> its the very last line

and line 1233 of home/domains/mydomain.co.uk/user/htdocs/admin/includes/functions/general.php

? and again this is the last line.

That should be ?> and not ?.

I think I'm having a similar problem today. This is my error message:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/ewpromo/public_html/catalog/includes/languages/english.php on line 326

Line 326 only has ?> on it and nothing else. No spaces before or after.

Better yet, if anyone would be so kind as to try to help me fix this, here's the link to my catalog mess:

I don't know what the heck I did but everything looked fine until I edited english.php and default.php in English.

Thanks for all your patience & generous help.
