Trusten
yes, it's me again with a d@mn SSL question. ok. i see in the admin area it says "you are not under a SSL server" or whatever. when i put it in the SSL area, it shows the lock that syas 'you are secured under an SSL server' whatever. when i tried to install a catalog under NONSSL and put the admin under SSL, it REALLY didn't go well. anyways, how do i put the admin in SSL area, and the catalog in a NON SSL area, there must be away or else that d@mn lock wouldn't be there. right? scacace
Check the FAQ section, it goes into setting up the .htaccess for Apache. You will need to add a few lines to the httpd.conf file specifically for the admin location. The edit to httpd.conf will require a restart of the Apache engine. Just did it myself. Mark Evans
how do i put the admin in SSL area, and the catalog in a NON SSL area, there must be away or else that d@mn lock wouldn't be there. Try replacing the http://www.yourdomain.com in the admin/includes/configure.php (HTTP_SERVER) with https://www.yoursecuredomain Easy :) Mark Evans osCommerce Monkey & Lead Guitarist for "Sparky + the Monkeys" (Album on sale in all good record shops) --------------------------------------- Software is like sex: It's better when it's free. GD
See my post here: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...er=asc&start=10 I run my admin under full SSL. It may help, it may cause errors, "backup first", then try it out. :) G. Running osC - 2.2MS2. P.S. Please don't ask for a link to my site, it is on a production server and not available for the general public, yet!
