What is the difference in credit_class_GV_v3.1 and gv_cc_install_v2
is one just a later version of the other or are they two seperate mods

Just different versions, v3.1 is bang up to date and is for snapshots which have the new breadcrumb class.
If you look hard enough (I think in the features section) there is even a v3.0 This is identical to v3.1 except it is for slightly older snapshots which don't have the breadcrumb class.
