On the homepage of my site, i still have the default text that is there when you first set up the site, this is it,

'' This is a demonstration online-shop, any products purchased will not be delivered nor billed. Any information seen on these products are to be treated fictional.

If you wish to download this sample shop, or to contribute to this project, please visit the support site. This shop is based on osCommerce 2.2-CVS. ''

How do i get this away?

Thanks in advance.

If you would like to do this in a more advanced way, use Mattice's addon which allows you to change all detail in that section via the admin screen.

Look in the contributions section for this.

define_mainpage-v1.1.tar.gz

Or go to catalog/includes/languages/english.php to do it the traditional way.

Easily done - english.php is the sort of the meca of files. You can change the text of your standard fields as well as changing text to images.

Check out the www.oscdox.com for the latest version of the manual.

question I have for the general population. How can I add images/text above or below the area in default.php? Do I use a html editor and add the images or is there PHP involved?

Use the above mentioned contribution.

It lets you do just that.

I will give it a go an leave some feedback. Basically it seems there is enough additions and tweaks to really make editing oscommerce easy. Problem is that all the good stuff needs some SQL help.

Question for Harald and co... how many of the contributions do you add? (and that weekly report didnt tell me anything /sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

cheers,
