Man, it's really hard to find a drop shipper or wholesale

The ones i found online all have very bad ratings.

h t t p : / / w w w . d o b a . c o m (don't want them to this forum in search) was the only one that i cant find any reviews on it. the only ones that say they r good is trying to get refferal credits.

Has anyone here used them before?

they have 7 day trial, n EXPENSIVE monthly fee
but im a starter, make little is okay with me :)

if u guys have better one, plz post their review

thx

I am currently with 13 companies that drop ship. I hold no inventory myself and rely on drop shipping.

One of the best ways to find a drop shipper is to do a search for: drop ship product (example drop ship candles). You may need to vary the search string to get results (example candle dropshipping). Not all the good companies will be on page one of the search results either.

Also, if you find a company of whose products you want to carry and you see they do wholesale, email them - many do drop shipping but just don't mention it.

Try to stay away from "warehouse" companies, such as DOBA. Go with smaller companies who focus on one genre, or one product (ie, candles, or soaps, or baby clothing). Smaller companies (more often than not) equal better customer service to you, more dependability, and many do not charge to drop ship. I don't pay a dime to any of my drop shippers (ie no drop ship fee).

Best of luck!

They were originally known as Wholesale Marketer. I checked them out and on eBay, sellers had written bad reviews about them. They make their money off you, the seller.

Try Wholesale Central. Just click on the Dropshipping link. Or do what I did and post a message in their Message center. Then you should hear from Dropshippers, instead of you looking for them, they will contact you. Some won't be worth checking on, but I found some really good ones.

Good luck.

13 dropshippers ! how do you keep everything organized? I work with 3 mainly and use one other for backup purposes.Do you operate 13 differnet websites? if not how do you handle the shipping charges. For example say a customer buys 5 differnet products each from a differnet dropshipper? How do you keep the shipping charges low but not eat a your profits.

I am using the Multi Vendor Shipping contribution that solves me trying to figure out shipping. I've worked with a couple of friends who owns businesses and are good at shipping figures and we did test purchases and whether you bought 5 items from one place or 5 items from 5 different vendors, the total shipping was near enough the same in each instance. Whether you bought 5 $4.00 items from one place or 5 $4.00 items from five different vendors .... the shipping was near enough the same.

I should clarify that one drop shipper only has ONE product. hehehe no brainer there. And 2 others I am only using a select amount of products (not their whole line).

As for the others, when, with hand loading each product in, I got a good feel for who's who. I can see a product and without looking at the model number, I can tell who the vendor is.

Also, my model numbers begin with a code that labels the vendor. Example: if I have a vendor by the name of Joe's Book Worm. I was begin all their product model numbers as: JBW-001, JBW-458, etc. Another instant recognition thing.

Now, I may find that my system that I have for things won't work once I have loads of sales. *shrugs* I just recently went "live" and no sales yet, at to be expected. I'll just have to wait and see and in the meantime: link exchanges, seo work, tweak, pray, tweak, pray, market, pray, tweak, link exchanges, yell at the e-commerce gods, pray, tweak, drive my husband up the walls, tweak, beg to the e-commerce gods, market, .... well, you get the drift.

LOL.

Hi Jason,
I tried doba. I was leary about it and canceled before my trial was over. I found that it was best to contact actual stores online that sell the products you want to sell and ask them if they have a dropshipping option. Good luck!

The problem with DOBA, in my opinion, is that they are not the actual manufacturer of the products that they offer for drop shipping, but a company that warehouses products for the manufacturers. So they are making money as a middleman.

Also, I have researched their prices, and it really seems like it would be hard to sell their products on eBay, because everyone else is selling their products for MSRP , or at least trying to do that, to make their profits. So, you are competing with alot of other people doing the same, and you kinda get lost in the shuffle.

You are better off getting in touch with the manufacturer or authorized distributor.

Never use Dropshipdesign.com or dropshiponauction.com They don't show what they have until you pay for membership. Then when I found out that they had nothing I wanted to sell, all junk. You can go to Wal-Mart and buy the same stuff cheaper. They will not refund your money.

If you know which brands or products you want, contact the companies directly (like others were saying). Don't be shy, just have a business registration # (whatever your state calls it) included in your email. Many companies don't advertise it, but still do it if asked. Some will say no, and some will direct you to the distributor. Look up Skip McGrath as well. I have received alot of good information from this. I look at other site for manufacturer names and start searching.

1. Be confident in your email
2. Make your email look professional
3. Give them information about your company
4. You need to be honest with them if you are new, you're new
5. Many are all for getting a business going
6. Leave contact information for them to call or email you
7. Sign your emails professionally

Find one at a time. Don't be in a hurry to find 13 at once.

How does dropshipping from 13 different companies work? Is everything just shipped from their different locations, or is it sent to you first for repackaging?

Sorry to laugh but that's a ridiculous question.
Do you know the basic principals of dropshipping?

So, a person can log into your system, place an order and have it shipped to a different address?
Feel free to pay a thousand bucks for that but ... here's a little hint ... that functionality is built in.

also specify shipper address... have shipper address on your packing slip instead of your website's address etc....... having several orders shipped to different addresses and pay them altogether etc.... there's a free contribution on this site anyway for that.... and with a few tweaks it's quite good.
edit: i found that commercial module for dropshipping.. that's why i was asking if there was a free module instead... anyway i found one on the site...

then what's this?

I don't recommend to use them as the prices they charge are overpriced, don't forget to add 17.5% VAT on the price of their module, as they based in UK.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!
8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.
Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.
Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
