I myself have had many bad transactions using paypal, now i`m looking into other payment systems and google checkout is on top of the list.
Paypal hunts me in my dreams after each and every transaction.

Each time I check my email I keep my fingers crossed that their is no claims arrrrrr!!

I feel you, paypal is nothing more then a common day theif...

I purchase software today, well it did not work, so i had to hire a coder
to get the software to work, so i filed a dispute, and told paypal, within
5 minutes, case closed, seller got the money, and i got the bill....

get this: paypal's reason was, we are not responsible for intangible goods IE: software.

but yet, I sell software, I get disputes, but i loose every god damn one...

hypicritial bastards...

if they are not reponsible for intangible goods, then why the hell
I am loosing every single dispute that comes in??

They are rich, and can get away with it....

if a buyer pays via credit card, or other, then you have 99.9% already lost your case.
Paypal is not going to pay chargeback fees, I used to have a cc machine, and chargebacks
are not cheap if paypal looses...thats why the customer will mostly win their case, and it
will not matter what proof you show, even if its legit... paypal will protect their own.

there is something in paypal's TOS that they do not cover e-sent goods. such as scripts, mp3s, codes, etc. so you need to select you wordage of product and complaint description carefully when you file a claim.

as a seller, i've been ripped by paypal / visa (moreso them, than actually paypal believe it or not) MANY times. more than i care to count.

but in their defense, in the last 6 months i did have to dispute against a programmer for a very large amount of money and i did win the dispute after i laid every fact and explanation out on the table. while filing the dispute i did keep in mind that paypal doesn't normally cover e-goods, so i count my blessings my dispute ended the way it did. i just wish i could say the same for me as a seller. :) although disputes and chargebacks are rare throughout the year, even just 1 ruins the entire half of the year!

to be completely honest, i don't think their people read the paypal resolution center unless basically bludgeoned with it. :-)
