3) having items on your site FOR LESS than on ebay is ebay illegal

Since the seller has no control over bidding, this doesn't seem right. I can see where that might apply if the "buy it now" price or the reserve was higher than the site price, but not bid results.
Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database.
Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.

An auction price must be set so it is possible for a bidder to win the auction for a price less than you sell the item for on your website. Of course, it can be bid up higher than you are selling the item for, no one can control that.

Also, you have an option to close bidding early and accept the currently high bid, so, if you see a $20.00 item going for $40 or whatever and you feel it is high enough, you can terminate the auction and the highest bidder wins.

Right you are. Just can't start it higher or have the buy now. Should have clarified.

So you know

1) The non-hyperlink is still ebay illegal
2) more than 1 link on your about me page for your site is ebay illegal
3) having items on your site FOR LESS than on ebay is ebay illegal

It costs more to list on ebay so I fail to see the moral dilema, maybe you're charging to little on your site.

Surely these people who say these things are wrong. How can it be illegal to do this. Illegal means contrary to law. What law states that it is illegal to sell something in one place for mare than somewhere else. If this was the case there would be no competition either in the shops, or on the web. This would mean this i could not sell an item cheaper than someone else.

Surely you mean it is against ebay rules.

Stop scareing people with statements like these.

Hiya,
It has happened to me on many an occasion and I kinda felt bad but realised that business is business and ya gotta take the money.
What I do do is put in a refferal form that means if they refer a friend to the site.they then get 10% off if the friend buys.

Don't worry-ya in business to make money. The fact is that if you do go back to them then you may offend them by pinting out that they have been silly (catch 22 really).

If you need to put a link on the listing then we get good results by just spacing out the website www. bellee .co.uk.It won't come up but is still very clear.

Good luck.

Well;

Stop dumbing down post with statements like these.

Would you READ

Each case I stated clearly as "ebay illegal". Maybe I should dumb it down for you in the future. I make my living on ebay ( ie I know what the hell I'm talking about) and stated this because she could get her ads pulled quite easy for this. What was being stated is ebay illegal. I've had ads pulled for a watermark on a pic with my website.

Oh so what you mean is that they contravine ebay rules. Lets face it who cares. Nearly every ebay auction will break the rules some how. Ebay do not even check the ads posted on the site, this is left to other ebay members. Read the forums for all the information that you need to see that this is true. In most cases if an ad is pulled by ebay, it means that someone has complained, usually a competitor.

I have had auctions pulled by ebay, and when i place exactly the same listing again, it will go to the end, payment is received and the buyer is happy. I list my website in all my auctions, and have never had a complaint. Many ebayers have since changed to buying straight from the website.
