Awesome! I'll give that a test drive tomorrow morning.
Happy New Year!

Thanx Jack.

Hello,
I've just uninstaled Dynamic sitemap ( same url rewriting probleme ) and installed the new one sitemap SEO.
I kind of miss the XML generator for google submiting...
is there a way to combine both? can't we use tep-href-link some were in the dynamic-sitemap contrib to re-encode URL?

I tried here and there but whith no results but I'm not the creator of this good contrib.

Thank you for you time.

2 - One of this reasons this contribution was written, as opposed to updating the Dynamic Sitemap, which was also mine, is because someone had added an xml sitemap to it. I said from the beginning that that was a mistake, which it still is, as some are finding out. The problem is that the xml sitemap entries won't match the actual url's if a url rewriter, like Ultimate SEO, is installed. That can cause duplicate content problems with the search engines. And since, I think, the majority of sites use a url rewriter, adding xml code to this contribution would introduce the same problem. The best solution is to install the google sitemap contribution by Chemo (v 1.3).

Hello,

Can you help me!
I have made all actions as wrote in install.txt file.

But now, when I click to Admin\Tools\SiteMap Maintenance (http://my_site.com/admin/sitemap.php) I will receive the following message:

Access Denied
No Right Permission Access
Please contact your Web Administrator to request
more access or if you found any problem.

I have correctly change the permissions on the following XML files:
sitemaps.xml
smcats.xml
smmain.xml
smmfg.xml
smproducts.xml
smspecials.xml

to 666 (chmod 666).

What the problem?

I've seen others are having the same problem as me in this forum, but can't seem to find how they are fixing it. My category and manufacturer links on the sitemap are repeating the same link for each page. For example, instead of showing 9 links for the category below it shows the same link 9 times. I have chemo's seo urls installed and jacks header tags seo; not sure if they interact but feel it noteworthy. Please help if you know how to fix. Thanks!!!!

I have osc v 2.2 RC2 with Ultimate SEO URLs v2.1d and Header Tags SEO V 3.1.5.
I am looking to install a sitemap, but I don't know if I am ready to do that just yet. I have a session id problem.
When I use an on-line sitemap generator, and spider simiulator I am having session id's spidered.

I wanted to ask you if I should install sid killer, before I install this, or not?

Does this sitemap prevent session id form being spidered?

Also, want to ask if I want a google sitemap and a human readable sitemap do I need to install both Dynamic Sitemap and Google XML Sitemap SEO,? Or does Dynamic Sitemap do both?

Thank You

Larry

I have two problems that I can't figure out for anything. The first is in Google Webmaster I have a redirect error for the following page. It redirects to the login page which is correct so I'm not sure how to fix it in the sitemap.

www.shedsforlessdirect.com/products/product_reviews_write.php

My second problem is that in my xml sitemap located at the link below it is generating multiple links that are the same for all the different pages in the same category. Anyone know how I can make each page unique?

www.shedsforlessdirect.com/products/create_xml_sitemaps.php

Thanks!!!

Ok, my problem described in my last post is not the sitemap causing it. The product_reviews_write.php button is on all of my product pages so it is getting hit by the spider. This page redirects to the login which which google gives us an error for. Anyone know how to get around this without totally disabling reviews or just making reviews accessible to any guest?

Thanks!

Hi,

Just add this great contribution(v3.5.10).

I have some questions.

1. My admin is running under SSL. When run the site, all link are under SSL.

https://mysite.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1 --> 2009-07-18 20:32:50

I think it should be no-ssl link. How can I fix it.

2. I installed URLSEO. The link still show original format. Is it ok for search engine to read the no-seo link?

3. in maintain page, the default frequence and time zone cannot be changed.

Thank you for your help

This is the support thread for the Dynamic SiteMap contribution. Based on the SiteMap MS2 contribution, it allows the full shop to be automatically listed and updated dynamically.

Jack
How do I remove the http://sample.com/catalog/index.php from all my sitemaps? I generate a sitemap and do not see my url in sitemap.

Hi all,

I've installed dynamic sitemap and I'm getting an "openbase restriction is in effect" warning on the catalog side.
Seems the script is trying to access the tmp dir, which is in the root of my store. The warning states however, that it's not within the allowed path (/var/www/vhosts/domain/httpdocs:/tmp).
Has anybody seen this before?
