Looks like it's adding 6% to the sub-total to get the Sales Tax, then adding a further 6% to the postage charge - is it supposed to add 6% to both??

I have the same problem. 6% is added to whatever is passed to the payment module.
It only appears on the credit card processing page.
So I suspect it is being added after the "Order Confirmation" page.
This is regardless of currency.
Does anybody know where to turn this "feature" off?

Have you checked the order in which the 'order total' modules are being applied??

I have -

Sub-total = 1
Shipping = 2
Tax = 3
Total = 4

We have to add tax to shipping - if you swap the shipping and tax order around, it shoudn't add the tax

Also, does your shipping module let you define the tax class - if it's set to NJ Sales Tax, then you can turn it off there.
