How do i automatically by default add 4 of the same items when they click on add to cart. The price that is mentioned is for one item, however it is standard to buy of these items since they are tires. Is there a way to do this? to automatically add 4 to the cart rather than the shopper doing it?

thanks in advance
samjam

There is a Contribution for this - can't recall its name at the moment

Try searching 'items' and similar key words in the contributions section

It is "minimum order number per product" or something similar.

I know this can be done with 'Quantity Price Breaks Per Product' but at the same time this contribution might be a overkill for what you need done.

Quote

2) Ability to force products to be sold in lots of # quantity. (The shopping cart will enforce this).

This is useful if you only want to sell say, cases of a product, but do not want to price the product by the case. (For example, if I sell a product in lots of 12 units, the shopping cart will only allow the customer to specify multiples of 12)

This will let you set the base unit say to 4-- then it can only be sold in 4, 8, 12, 16, 20... etc

Hope this helps, here is the link http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1242/

Good Luck,
